Last weekend, we hit the garage sales hard. SUGAR had two lemonade stands to support our 100 Lunches ProjectTheir work resulted in us raising over $170!! While the kids were busy selling lemonade, cookies and brownies, the SUGAR gals were collecting massive amounts of donations. We ended up with three carloads of goods that were sorted and then distributed to four deserving organizations.

This weekend is a busy one.

Our weekend is chock-full of activities. We hope you can join us at some of them. We would really love to have you all swing by our booth at Club Day on Lakewood Ranch’s Main Street Friday night. The kids will get a chance todecorate the bags for our 100 Lunches Project! If you would like to donate peanut butter, jelly, fruit cups, apple sauce or pretzels, we will have a bucket there for collecting those items. We also have drop off zones Monday through Friday (9AM-2PM) at CoWork and all week (11AM-11PM) at Ed’s Tavern.  P.S. Publix has some good deals on peanut butter and fruit cups this week!

SUGAR Shout-Out

These kids did an awesome job Saturday raising funds for SUGAR’s 100 Lunches Project! All of their sign shaking, singing the “lemonade, crunchy ice” chant, dancing and showing their pretty smiles made a big difference. They raised over $170.00! We hope all of them will be able to join us on November 5th when we pack the bags and make the sandwiches!

Don’t Get Discouraged!

Most of our events with space limitations are full, but we have several dates where “the bigger, the better” mentality reigns. Two are this weekend! We hope to see you and your kids at Club Day decorating a bag, and we would also love to have you as part of our cheer section at the Special Olympics Bowlingevent Saturday. Let’s cheer on those athletes! Your kiddos can even practice their restaurant skills and serve some lunches while there!
