Stefanie and Ali took a visit to Second Chance this week and were able to sneak a peek at the garden we planted at the beginning of October. It is growing beautifully! April, the director at Second Chance, is hoping to see a few items ready for harvest by Thanksgiving.

Thanks so much for saying hello.
We were out at BooFest last week and wanted to thank everyone for stopping in to say hello at our SUGAR booth. We especially appreciated the children’s participation in our craft to thank the first responders for their work. The hearts they made were so thoughtful.
All of the events we have completed in October were ones where we were the participants, not necessarily the organizer. For example, SCLO had a garden that needed planting, so we provided the volunteers,. Special Olympics had an event where extra hands were needed, and we stepped in. This weekend we will complete our first SUGAR organized and run event. The 100 Lunches Project is one that we have organized completely, and we are looking forward to seeing it through to fruition. For those of you joining us Sunday, we can’t wait to see you! If you won’t be there, we will have plenty more in the future that will be similar to this one.
